Moon Organization hurts familes- destroys free will

This week s 9 million dollar Moon conference is using pro-family values and well known personalities like Mayor Marion Barry, Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Jon Secada to enhance its sphere of influence. The Washington Post has done a series of articles this week exposing many important aspects of this organization. However, there are areas that still must be adequately addressed.

MIND CONTROL: How can intelligent people ever accept the beliefs that Moon is a sinless Messiah in the first place. We want to explain the process of just how the 3, 7, 21, 40 day Moonie indoctrination workshops disables critical thinking, installs phobias and and makes people into obedient followers.

SUFFERING CAUSED TO INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES: We will share our personal experiences with how the Moon organization alienated us from our real families and caused us to believe that Moon was our “True Father”. Many former members have experienced tremendous suffering during their involvement and can testify that the Moon organization is an anti-social group which deserves the characterization of a destructive cult.

Former members scheduled to speak and answer questions include: John S., Craig Maxim, Cathryn Mazer (and her mother), Ingo Michehl and Steven Hassan, author of Combatting Cult Mind Control: The #1 Best-selling Guide for Protection, Rescue and Recovery from Destructive Cults.

Note: Camilia Anwar Sadat, who is carrying the legacy of her father, the late Egyptian President and Nobel Peace Laureate Anwar Sadat, has announced her withdrawal as a speaker at the Moon conference. Turning down $100,000, she said that she did not want to associate herself with a group which was so harmful to families and to the cause of peace.
