They said cult founder Jung Myung Seok would interview prospective brides and sometimes sexually assaulted them. Mass weddings are between partners found under time pressure. During one of the last people got to choose from a maximum of 10 people they would meet right then and there. Who they would marry for life would have to be decided within 3 days. Some cult members would have an emotional crisis as they were enable to find someone. But one cult member who did find a wife later found out they held very different values. They divorced.
